I decided that since this was going to be one of the last long breaks I will ever get in my life, I was going to fully enjoy it. It's my first time staying in Adelaide for the Summer and I planned to embrace it to the fullest (that my wallet allowed for anyway).
Welcome to the first of many anecdotes detailing the adventures I go on in the next 2 months.

After years of contemplation I finally dyed my hair red (auburn?). This is the first time I had no regrets with my hair colour (I say now) and I am totally digging it.
(Edit 28.12.22 - I just bought coloured shampoo to try to make it redder... let's see how this goes.)

I spent the day at a little Christmas shindig my family friends held. I always feel so welcome at their house, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling of home and comfort, and we're never short of a good laugh. We had an amazing spread contributed by everyone (I made a Strawberry Galette that actually turned out ok this time), a fun game of 'kelly pool' (I shot four balls in a row I will never live up to that ever again) and just an overall great time chatting in the backyard.

My last dance class of the year, and Ayril's last official class here in Adelaide. I'm so proud of him getting into NIDA, but I'm going to miss him and the fun I have in his classes. We ended the term with a bang learning the choreography he performed with his brother, Alner, in SV6 and the Year-End concert. In the words of Darcy, "it felt illegal to learn it" because of how sacred the annual brother piece is, but I was honoured to give my flavour to it.

I drove my housemate to an appointment in Christies beach, so I got to have a little stroll along the coastline before settling for a little dessert (Mango and Chia Seed Pudding – 5/10 I hated the consistency of the chia seeds in the almond milk cream stuff. Objectively good, but not my cup of tea).
